Coca Cola Bottle
I modeled this iconic Coca-Cola bottle in SolidWorks to demonstrate advanced surfacing techniques and the process of recreating complex consumer product geometry. Although the bottle is a familiar everyday object, accurately capturing its flowing curves, helical ribs, and subtle contour transitions requires precise control of surface continuity, reference geometry, and feature construction.
This project showcases techniques such as multi-section surfacing, guided lofts, spline refinement, and the creation of patterned rib features that follow the bottle’s signature curved profile. Rebuilding such a well-known form is an excellent exercise in reverse engineering, attention to proportion, and mastery of high-quality surface creation.
The accompanying video walks through the complete modeling workflow from start to finish, demonstrating how the Coca-Cola bottle’s unique shape is constructed digitally and highlighting the surfacing tools and strategies used to achieve a clean, accurate final model.
